deena was my student in perasu kelantan. i have known her n her siblings n her parents since 1991. quite a long time, kan..

at that time she was in standard 1. she was full of smiles then, and i guess she is still the same now too. during those days when i spoke to her she would only giggle and smile, and it was rather difficult for me to listen to her talking.

well, that was then. now she is doing her post graduate studies in one of the local varsities in klang valley. it was a surprise when i got a friendster message from her two weeks ago. i duly accepted her request and we have been contacting each other almost on a daily basis since then, thru sms or ym..

this afternoon she messaged me and said she was very happy because her experiment got a good review and this meant her sample has qualified to be short-listed to be sent to space. by the way, she's doing microb technology and majoring in protein crystallography, whatever that is.. she tried explaining to me what she was doing but my mind just couldn't register what exactly it was. vaguely yes la.. : ) jgn marah, ha, deena!

i'm getting to know her now because the last time we met she was a small, shy girl..

now she is a brilliant person, maybe an extrovert, she's cute, she has a sense of humour, and maybe a good personality as well, which i can't verify for now, and i hope she stays that way, and at the same time remains humble.

i wish her all the best of luck she ever needs, and i pray that she'll achieve greater success that she can imagine of in her life.
