Eonian ~
Crossing the railroad
Walking along d paddy fields
Coming across frogs n toads
Beneath the hill
There lies my grandma's house
Way down south
Magnificently
In the break of morning
Hearing the birds chirping
By grandma's balcony
Brought a sense of melancholy
So many stories
So many memories
Grandma n Ma chatting n laughing
Was a melody
Both Baffling n enchanting
Uttered with layers of sincerity
A welcome voice
A welcome noise
Greeting them both
Wasn't something i loathe
For love was abundant
And always resplendent
Brightening d day
Making me feeling gay
Donning singlet n Wearing sarong
Having lunch sitting crossed legged
Never made me feel wrong
Though there was only rice n eggs that were salted
Everything tasted delicious
While Chatting of nothing malicious
Though grandma n ma are no longer here
Seven years to be precise n clear
Thoughts of them never fail to bring me happiness
And now my aunt n uncle continue the heritage
Of humour n liveliness
Just like grandma's parentage
The wooden house still stands
Albeit here n there a little dent
The paddy field still remains
Though machine ploughs the land
But d kampung dishes
And the river abundant fishes
Will Live long and hopefully
Eternally
