fasting: d typical malay culture

Ramadan ,The month of fasting by s3ood
salam.
la ni kat sekolah. free for the time being. ingat nak masukkan markah ke dalam sistem, tapi payah nak masuk. initially it was ok, pastu dah tak boleh get thru. sabo je la..
so, how is your fasting @ saum @ puasa getting on? hopefully bukan sekadar mendapat lapar n dahaga at the end of the day. tu standard pose budak2 kecik.
anyway, the typical malay culture is that every fasting month many people indulge themselves in over-spending at the so called bazaar ramadhan. they tend to buy all the food they crave for, and before bedtime, most of this food will find itself in the tong sampah. even if they manage to eat all the food n drink they bought earlier, it is not supposed to be that way. since fasting is a way for us to experience a bit of hardship, by right we should not be spending lavishly and have this eating session charade.
another typical thing is playing with firework @ mercun. isn't it a waste of money, and creating sound pollution unnecessarily? i, for one, can't stand the sound of mercun, but i try to tolerate.
and lastly, every raya parents will be burdened with spending their money buying new clothes, and this will definitely burn a hole in the pocket for most of us, me including. i know you would say that our parents used to do that for us too last time. siege mentality. that's what need to be changed.
so, where am i leading to here? ramadhan is meant for us to ponder the previous eleven months of our lives, to live life moderately, and to better them spiritually, so that we can be closer to God. do you have the same idealism? hmm..
got to go for now, coz i have a class soon, and i wanna get ready for it.
so, i c u when i c u!
ttfn!
