a day ( n a nite) in singapore..

It was at 2 am Monday morning, (yes, two days ago) or should it be wee hour, when I, together with my wife and nia, left for senai johor to send abil for his practical session there. Of course la abil tagged along.. we needed to be there by 9 am. As the road was clear, I took almost six hours, plus resting n prayer at ayer keroh, to reach senai.

Once there, we had breakfast as everyone was starving. Then abil went to the nearby mosque to refresh n get himself ready. At quarter to nine, we sent abil to senai airport to report for his practical. After waiting for more than two hours, abil finished his briefing. Phew! Searched for his rumah bujang and had lunch together.

Once we said our goodbyes n making sure he would be okay, the three of us left for Singapore. But we needed to find a mechanic first coz the bmw was having a problem with the front left tyre bearing. Luckily we found one , hj amat, near kempas al mizan mosque, a bmw specialist. Earlier we were contemplating where to park the car coz we wanted to get into Singapore via public transport. In the end He showed us the place which was at the workshop.. knnnnn hahahah Alhamdulillah

welcome to Bugis!!
It was already 4pm when we boarded the Singapore johore express from larkin to queen street. After the formality at the immigration counters of both Malaysia n singapore sides, we were on our way to queen street @ rochor bus station. I managed to catch a nap while in the bus. Ngantuk giler beb!!

nia's dinner
At 530pm, we were heading to our Victoria Hotel room in Bugis vicinity. It was a real bargain coz we managed to get a room with a king size bed together with a single bed. And the room was comfortable, spacious and airy, and we even had a window view of victoria street. We left our bags and headed to bras basah mrt station and went to garden by the bay for its live show at 745pm. It was a spectacular show and the view that evening surrounding the garden was so picturesque. By 830pm, we left for for dinner at zam zam restaurant, consisting of mutton beriani for me n my wife, n chicken chop for nia. We had our seat outside the restaurant and the view in front us was the splendid sultan mosque. The mosque had a character of its own that made it looked grand.

As we were tired n sleepy, we walked back to our hotel. Everyone took a shower and performed the prayer before falling asleep.

The next morning we planned to go to merlion and sentosa but the plan was cancelled due to the heavy rain. Since we had to abort the morning session plan, after the rain had slowed down to a drizzle, we went to kg glam which was famous for its assorted streets and lanes: arab street, haji lane, to name a few. The place was so colorful and clean and full of vibes that I wished I could stay longer. We went around and snapped photos of the rare and special artworks and stuffs all over the place. By two, after buying some merchandise as memorabilia, as well as having deer murtabak n mutton murtabak, washed down with a glass of the tarik for lunch, it was time to get back across the causeway.
