birthday.
you are getting older. death is nearer. haha.. that’s my definition of
birthday. anyway, that’s another story to tell, but not now.
well, this
October I had a number of people who are close to me celebrating their birthdays.

* = * Alhamdulillah and I am proud of her la, actually. hopefully she can emulate this feat at her primary school too. insyaAllah. oh, I did take her for dinner at kfc actually. and her suida, my youngest sister, sent her a book and stickers all the way from NY.
as for ida, I sent
her a book on poems by Hamzah Fansuri. and also a painting of a whirling
dervish, specially made by guala! guess they have yet to arrive coz I haven’t got
any news about them from her. they are supposed to be a surprise for her, unless
she reads about them here la.. kn. hope she’ll like them. insyaAllah.

lisa, my third
child, who’s there in mrsm, celebrated her 14th birthday on the 21st.
since she was away, I couldn’t get her anything. on that day when I called to
wish her, I asked what she wanted. she answered that she had got herself the
gift; her wonderful parents.. haha how my heart melted then to hear her say
that. when I insisted her to name me something to get a birthday gift, she said
a Quran with translation would be nice. Allah ya Rabbi, how solehah can you
be.. hope she really turns out to be
one, though she’s still a child. anyway today I got her the Quran and I gave
her a watch too. and just now in the late afternoon, since abil and arief were
home too, celebrated both nia and lisa’s birthdays. nothing much, just a cake I
ordered from my student, accompanied with a birthday song and photo session je.
layan..
so much for
birthday, kan. and now I’m getting old, I don’t really look forward to my
birthday anymore. haha dh macam tak best
je tua2 ni sambut birthday, kan..
nevertheless, I
am thankful for the air that I breathe and for the love that surrounds me
everyday. coz everyday is another birthday for me.. Alhamdulillah.
