we are the champion!

finally after waiting for almost ten years, we are the champion of manjung once again!

it was one week ago d team played in the final at stadium mini manjung. in front of the cheering crowd, from manjung and pangkalan tldm, the players from each side traded attack after attack. the atmosphere was electrifying for a district level final: both sides of supporters brought drums, fire-crackers, hundreds of die-hard fans, singing and cheering their teams, and if you care to read 23rd march 2013 posting, this time d team played according to the game plan, played to their true ability, and never gave up till the end. last year if i may recall, d team played well throughout the early stage till the semi but crumbled at the final hurdle. but this time they showed that they were ready and full of discipline. for the record, d team won 7-0 against Dindings, 4-0 against Methodist, 4-3 against Bt 10, beat Maahad 1-0 in the quarter, defeated Smab 2-0 in the semi and triumphed 1-0 in the final against Manjung.

honestly, i was delighted with the win, especially so because d team played really well except for the glitch against Bt 10. alhamdulillah.

guess i can sing for d team "we are the champion" come monday after the prize-giving ceremony.
