of yesterday n today..

salam.

yesterday it was confirmed that the menteri besar of Perak would be coming over to my school on saturday to give away computer notebooks to selected students, numbering about 216 if i'm not mistaken. it's good that these notebooks are given, but what i couldn't accept is the fact that everyone at school, as well as navy personnels, had to spruce up the school just for the MB visit. it's so superficial to me, since we were doing this gotong royong for the MB's sake, it seemed. tents were erected, mobile stage was set up by the navy personnels, walls were painted, rubbish was collected, banners here and there stating how good@wonderful the mb and the state education department director were, and they even had these two fountains beside the stage.. Personally, it’s a waste of time, effort, material, money, etc, etc. nevertheless, i did chip in my contribution, albeit reluctantly. i was at school again last night to monitor the job progress i had delegated to a few students to do. came back only after 11pm.

this morning, i didn't turn up at school, as told to my principal, because i didn't wanna be a hypocrite. moreover, i had to take arief, my fourth child, to his syarahan bahasa arab contest. and he did me proud, because he's just 7 years old, and he stood there, against his opponents who were year 6 @ 12 years old students. though he fumble slightly, he managed to charm the crowd, and the judges too i supposed, and came out in 2nd place. congrats la arief!

after lunch n zohor, went for a ride to jalan teluk batik for a wedding reception. two of my former students, siblings too for that matter, invited me many weeks ago. yours truly obliged, because it is terrible to let down people, especially those who have their hopes high in the sky..

it's already asar, and i've got better things to do after my get-together with Him. lagipun i'm typing away at the moment is just to make sure i do not doze off. eyelids heavy, body weary, but the spirit is well and alive, thus it's best to be productive for the benefit of everyone and everything around me. so, i'll see u when i see u, k.. : )
