Salam.
We are almost at the end of syawal..
kejap je, ek.
Well, it has been a wonderful and
meaningful syawal. For me, at least.
Just like ramadhan.
For one, 1st raya was a
day full of happiness. Everyone was at bak’s place, except for akak and her
children. Nevertheless, those who were at bak’s had such a great time: catching
up with everyone, abundance of mouth-watering dishes, and most of all, to see
mak having a great time seeing that all her children and grandchildren plus
great grandchildren were there. Well, almost everyone. Bak as usual, reserved
his comment to himself, and by afternoon after lunch and zohor, had his nap as
usual. Layan..
Personally, it was a wonderful
feeling for me to see everyone. Especially ida n kids who came back from new
york for a month holiday. Though we didn’t get to talk much I was glad to see
her in person again.
My family and I went back to pj a
couple of days before raya so that I would get the opportunity to perform the terawih
prayer with bak and mak and also layan sahur with them. Which I did get. Malam raya
pun was an exciting one, though not all were around, only ida and family turned
up plus al and his children, farez and ellis, as well as nazam making a brief
appearance.
In the afternoon of first raya, went
to mashor’s place at denai alam. It was my first visit there, and what I can
say is, his place was very impressive. Minimalist approach. Cost him quite a
lot: rm1.2 million je.. ahaks! Well, he deserved it for the effort and patience
that he has spent for it, I guess.
The next day kitorang balik lekio
dah. Spent third syawal going to in-laws and open houses. By fourth syawal I was
away to kebun and sangkar ikan: running away from hiruk pikuk serabut perut
cite raya..
Then school reopened, and reluctantly
I started teaching again. With the spm trial in mind, I went ahead with my
business as usual. By second day of school I was back in my stride. Still, I just
failed to understand why the form fives like to miss classes @ school. Memang tak
leh harap. Tapi nak buat camne lagi, layan je la dengan sape yg datang sekola..
Then two Fridays ago 1 murid 1 sukan
district meets started off with athletic. I was involved since the post of
sports secretary required me to keep track and oversee how things were. Alhamdulillah
the athletes did the school proud, winning a few medals.. this Tuesday futsal
will be on, and yours truly will be involved again.
In between the sports activities, I had
to attend a two-day course. I considered it as a getaway from school work. Had it
on Wednesday and Thursday, and on Friday, I took the day off to spend time in
kebun jawang: membaja. On the way back stopped at sangkar ikan to clear the
debris as well as taking a dip in the cool refreshing river as well as to catch
tilapia to bring back to pj.
bak n mak + khan's siblings |
Then, by midnite semua orang made a
move home. Except for me and my family who stayed overnite at pj, together
dengan akak and her children. Felt sad to part ways. But life had to go on,
kan..
I was very thankful and I still am,
for the moments to be together again, like dolu dolu.. ; )
And tonite ida is going back to new
york after 35days back home in pj. Guess she’s already boarded the airplane by
now coz her flight was to be at half past eight. Hope she’ll have a safe
journey.
And I am now back home.
Thank You God for the moments.
I just can’t thank You enough.
May You grant us another opportunity
like this again.
insyaAllah.
