Just finished reading The adventures of Tintin. Enjoyed it very much as it brought back fond memories of yesteryears while i was in primary school. I first read Tintin’s collections many years ago, 50 years ago probably, borrowing them from my classmates. Many years later, after getting married n my children all grown up, i bought them a few of Tintin’s comic books. They are wonderful read n i am always fascinated by the storylines n the illustrations which are very detailed n depict the real background of the adventures locations.
As for Twice, as usual Mitch Albom never fails to impress me. The storyline is easy to follow but the way Mitch Albom expresses himself is truly marvelous. Twice tells about a guy who gets to do things twice, and by doing so on many things that he has gone through, he is able to rectify moments that are unacceptable to him and make those moments bearable and to his liking. With every Mitch Albom’s novel, this one too is a great read n the standout of his writings is that he always presents original ideas.
I managed to finish Twice in three readings but Tintin took me a longer time since the prints are smaller, (and my eyesight is getting worse too hahaa) but nevertheless the sheer plaesure of reading delights me as always.
For those who tend to fix their eyes solely on their handphones, i advise you guys to read printed materials. It is never late to start reading if you havent started yet, and for those who do read, choosing a different genre now and then tend to add more knowledge n new experience.
So, start reading now!!
*btw Twice is my birthday present from Lisa n Tintin belongs to Iliya
