Pehhh!
PKP has
entered its fifth week. And already today is the second day of Ramadhan Kareem.
Schools and many other government departments and private sectors and firms and
factories and shops have been asked to close down periodically for now.
stay home! |
Initially when
the PKP began, it was a scary experience coz we never really knew what
to expect, except that everyone was ask to stay in. the first few times when I went
out to the shops and markets and tesco, the roads were almost deserted. But now
everything is a bit relaxed, I would say.
The good
things about covid 19 (always look on the bright side, okeyyy!) are, there is
less traffic on the road, less pollution, air is a lot cleaner, the skies are
beautiful, the rivers are clean, nature is back and on a personal note, I am
having all the time in the world to tend to whatever crosses the mind. Though I
do send out exercises and quizzes to my students now and then, but before the
fasting month began, I stayed outside the house from morning till noon, tending
to my greens. Guess it was worth it since the grass is healthy, the plants in
the pots are flowering, the old rotten twigs and branches have been removed,
the surrounding looks clean an d attractive, and most importantly, I get to be
alone @ be with Him always Alhamdulillah

Normally after
asar everybody will do a lil bit of exercise just to keep fit. As the head of
the family, I’ll lead them. Everything is done on the spot, such as running,
jogging, jumping, stretching, star jump, plank challenge and finally sit up and
push up. Though it takes just twenty minutes to complete the exercise, but the
sweat produced, as well as the feel-good feeling, is a joy, I must say. Once in
a while I did go for my early morning run around the kampong. Luckily no cops
were on sight then, if not, surely they would want to question me I guess. And probably
slap me with a rm1000 fine too hahaa
Talking about
the fine that PKP offenders are being asked to pay, it is very unfair to them,
in the sense that quite a number of VIPs are also being seen in public with
their entourage, not adhering to the MKN advice and warning. Why are they being
treated differently? I thought no one is supposed to be above the law,
knnnnnnnn. Well, in bolehland, everything is possible it seems.
After shower,
from maghrib till midnite, it is family time. Starting with solat berjemaah,
dinner together, and then if there’s a good show, everyone will be in the
family room watching the show @ movie. Normally there’ll be ice-ceam
or cakes or delicacies. This covid lockdown has made the children at home more
creative and productive. Talking about food la. The girls, especially kaklong
and lisa, help to prepare the dishes without fail. Arief has managed to make pudding
custard, sagu, lengkong coklat, to name a few, and nia too has produced caramel.
The girls too have baked cookies, made cheesekut, kueh lapis, spaghetti, roast
chicken. On the positive side, it is good for them to learn the trade of
preparing all these foods, but bapak diorg la jenuh running errands buying all
the needed ingredients and burning a hole in the pocket hahahaaa but for family
sake, I’m A-okey with it.
After everything
has been said and done, Alhamdulillah.
